Meterologist & Reporter Molly Rosenblatt
Hello New Orleans! I'm absolutely thrilled to join the team at WGNO and call the Crescent City my new home.
Molly Rosenblatt is a Minnesota native and received her B.A. in Journalism from the University of Minnesota and her Meteorology training from Mississippi State University. Prior to arriving in New Orleans Molly worked as a weekend weather forecaster & reporter in El Paso, Texas and Great Falls, Montana.
Molly says she's passionate about story-telling and the weather, "So I feel lucky I get to enjoy the best of both worlds. Aside from news and weather, I'm also very passionate about environmental issues and environmental advocacy work."
In her free time -- aside from doing schoolwork -- running, cycling and sailing are a few of her favorite hobbies. Molly was a member of the University of Minnesota Sailing Team and looks forward to getting involved with the local sailing community here in New Orleans. She also spends plenty of time with her 4 year-old tiny Chihuahua Lulabelle who is enjoying the "dog friendly" atmosphere of Uptown.
"I'm not the kind of person who likes to stay in often," says Molly. "I prefer to be "out and about" in the community, surrounded by people. Whether it's trying different restaurants, local hotspots, or festivals -- I enjoy getting out there and meeting and learning about people. I can't wait to really become a part of this amazing city."
