NEW ORLEANS—
Doors opened at 7pm sharp to let hundreds enter the Orpheus Ball at the Convention Center.5,400 people are expected. Acts like 80's band Loverboy, The Radiators, and Bucktown All Stars will take the stage.The Krewe of Orpheus boarded their floats this afternoon and headed to the parade which ends up at the Convention Center.
Guests at the ball will be showered with beads and coveted throws.
Celebrities such as Wendell Pierce and Jennifer Coolidge are among the 1200 riders.Tickets to the ball at the door are $150 and the party won't slow down until 3am.
